Jane Golden, founder and executive director of Mural Arts Philadelphia, will talk about the
program’s evolution from its origin as the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network, eventually giving
Philadelphia the world’s largest outdoor art gallery as well as the distinction of Mural Capital
of the World. The program emphasizes community engagement, with a goal of transforming
individuals and communities through art.


A graduate of Stanford University and Rutgers, Ms. Golden has received numerous awards
for her work. She has also authored Philadelphia Murals and the Stories They Tell.
