Can You Trust Political Opinion Polls? Presented by Dr. Paul Selbst
Tuesday, September 24, 7:00 on Zoom
Polls matter. Political opinion polls are critical to democracy.
Such polls determine candidates’ positions as well as who gets to run or even debate. They tie elected leaders to public issues between elections. Polls help us take the pulse of political parties and ordinary citizens.
But polls also have their flaws and failures.
This presentation aims to provide insights in how polls are made and conducted, how to understand them, and how to identify those we can trust.
