Exploring Historic Germantown: A Tour of Johnson House
Sunday, September 22, 1:00 pm
To RSVP, contact Susan Bockius: [email protected].
Get to know the wonderful historic places of Germantown! Nineteen historic houses and museums in Northwest Philadelphia are allied to protect, preserve and promote this historical resource. NVN will be offering a series of tours over the summer and fall to several of the sites for personal introductory tours.
On Sunday, September 22, we will tour Johnson House.
Please note: This is a change from a previously announced September 21 tour.
Rooted in its history as an Underground Railroad stop and historic house museum, Johnson House proudly represents the enduring impact of everyday people who have made a difference in their communities and beyond. The partnership between Africans seeking freedom and the Johnson family, passionate abolitionists, serves as a powerful catalyst to inspire, uplift, and empower current and future generations.
Cost: $10 for seniors. Tour maximum 10 persons. Some stairs. Please sign up by Friday, September 20.
